All our aerial challenges are excellent wet weather activities! The course remains open in all weathers, except when it is icy, stormy, in high winds or during lightning. Rain makes the course muddier than usual – which all adds to the fun! Don’t forget to dress for the weather. Sometimes, unfortunately, we might need to close the course for reasons beyond our control, if this happens you will be given a full refund.
We suggest that you wear something you don’t mind getting grubby. Dress for the weather so bring along a jacket if it’s raining! You need to make sure you have the correct footwear with closed toe and heel (with flat soles), no sandals, high heels or slip-off shoes. Your stomach area will need to be covered as harnesses may rub and long hair must be tied back.
COVID 19 - Gloves are mandatory, you can bring your own or you will have to purchase a pair before taking part, please respect social distancing.
Paintball
Before booking a paintball session with us, have an idea of your preferred date and time for the booking, as well as a rough estimate of how many participants will be with you. If you bring 14 or more with you, the organiser gets to go for free!
Remember! More people = more targets! Happy hunting!
We take a £10 deposit per participant (14 members = £140 deposit). We understand group members will drop in and out before the session, so a rough estimate is all we need. The deposit is due 2 days before the session and can be paid in cash to the site, by card over the phone, paypal or cheque.
We take a deposit because we organise staff, equipment and sometimes food for the group, and just means we're covered if something comes up or you need to cancel the morning of the session.
Yes, everybody has to be 16 years of age or over. If you have/are partial to any of the following we would recommend that you not take part:
- Pregnant
- Suffering from migraines / headaches or have ever had whiplash
- Suffering from high blood pressure, any heart condition or epilepsy
- Suffering from, or have ever had, any back or neck problems
- Have recently had any broken bones
- Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Undergoing medical treatment or have had an operation within the past twelve months
For safety reasons we normally err on the side of caution.
You don’t need to be at the peak of physical fitness, but some of the games may require a high level of exertion.
We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before your session start time. Upon arrival we'll get you geared up and your games manager will run through a quick safety brief with the group.
Once that's all out of the way, it's game on! Depending on the type of session you book, you'll play 4-6 games within our unique game zones designed to test your resolve, responsiveness and awareness under pressure.
When the fun, game and pain is over and done, you'll return your gear to us and we'll do a quick run down of the session and hand out our MVP award.
Yes, there are times when it hits and you will be jumping around waiting for it to ease and other times you don’t feel a thing. It really depends on where you were hit and from what range.
You can reduce and minimise impact by wearing sensible clothing - a jacket, thick jumper and overalls. But if you are running about in the altogether, expect a short sharp shock. Safety is the key word.
On arrival at our site you will be issued with a safety mask, specifically designed for paintball, coveralls to protect your clothes and other safety items. A comprehensive safety brief will be given at the start of the day before any player is allowed to get hold of their gun.
In practical terms you will need a change of clothing in case you decide to crawl in the mud or if it rains, and sensible footwear. High heels and flip flops are not conducive to charging around the forest. But the most important thing to bring with you is sense of humour and a willingness to get stuck in and possibly make a fool of yourself.
For health and safety reasons: NO. To maintain a consistent safety standard you can only use paintballs issued by Oakfire on the day of your event.
